I've built Xfce 4.10 for Fedora-16 now as well. I have no idea how well it works, I managed to install it on a test machine and confirm it started up. ;)
As far as I know all the plugin dep issues should be fixed in the current f16/f17 repos. If you see any, please let me know (with full yum output please).
With any luck 4.10 final will be out this coming weekend. I will try and update rawhide, then f17, then f16, but I am going to be heading out of town early next week, so might not get to f17/f16 done until the following weekend.
Happy Xfceing.

I'm hoping it's a break for yourself and family(?). Says Frank looking out at young trees trying to do the splits (the trees that is)
Thanks a lot Kevin, works just fine, except xfburn, which is not part of the repo obviously. I'll just rebuild with mock against your repo.

Yeah, xfburn has issues. :(
The last release won't work at all anymore. There's a new set of commits in git to port it to libxfce4ui, but I still can't get it fully building right.
My last scratch build is: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=4016103 if anyone wants to look at fixing it more. ;)

Hi Kevin,
Will you have a repo for RHEL 6.x as well?
I might give it a try. I suspect however that some components might be too old for it to build.
Will let you know what I find out.

It would be nice to be able to run the latest in Scientific Linux. Sometimes I feel like the RHEL community is the despised step child.

Yeah, I am going on a backpacking trip into the wilderness far from computers. ;)
Should be fun.

I get a conflict with libxfce4menu

Doing --skip-broken doesn't work either. It fails with the following:

Thanks a lot,

Can you attach the full output and yum command you ran?
Also, the output of 'yum check' ?
Thanks,

Thanks a lot for taking a look,

I thought the mailing list message size was 60KB but it is 40KB and my last message is queued up for moderation. :( So I uploaded the logs on pastebin.

You should remove libxfce4menu without any fear. It is declared officially deprecated since Xfce 4.8 by upstream development and have been replaced with garcon. Look at the version, libxfce4menu won't get any updates!

Thanks a lot! That worked.
BTW Kevin, the packages are not signed. Is that intentional since this is not an official fedora repo?

Easy fix: run the following as root: echo gpgcheck=0 >> /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-xfce-4.10.repo

I know that yum option, --nogpgcheck also works; but I was just pointing out in case it was unintentional.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Guessing it's intentional, as another repo of Kevins:
http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/kevin/xorg-intel/fedora-xorg-intel.repo
Contains: gpgcheck=0
As does Christophs from 4.8: http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/cwickert/xfce-4.8/

Yes, thats intentional.
I suppose I could sign them with my gpg key, but not sure how useful that would be.
