Fedora Free Media request failure
by Sybil E Smith
Hi, I completed the Fedora Free Media Request Form, which is currently Open,
on fedoraproject.org. When I click on the "Take me to the next page" button,
I consistently get a "Forbidden: Ticket_Create" error on fedorahosted.org.
I've tried it on both Firefox & Chrome with the same results. I've attached
screen shots from my Chrome attempt. Here's the URL where I get the error
message:

Possible bug found
by Ian MacGregor
I think I found a bug. I went to the
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FreenodeCloaks page to check something and
found that I needed to log in to edit that page but I was already logged
into the wiki (I had been working on wiki sweep all week). I clicked on the
"history" tab of that page and found that I was indeed logged in - according
to the content at the upper right corner. I closed that tab in firefox,
opened a new tab, manually typed in the address again and found that the
upper right corner of the page showed that I needed to log in - but I was
logged into the wiki the entire time. Is it normal for some pages to not
recognize a currently logged in state?

Self-introduction
by Ian MacGregor
Greetings,
My name is Ian MacGregor. I have been using computers since 1983 and
building computers since 2001. I have been using Linux (started with Debian
GNU/Linux) since it became my primary operating system in 2001. I have used
many distros since that time, including Fedora Core 1, Fedora Core 2, Fedora
Core 3, Fedora Core 4, CentOS, Mandrake Linux (now Mandriva) and Ubuntu, and
am currently using Fedora 12.
I have used many wiki's, including MediaWiki, PmWiki, MoinMoin and
tiddlywiki, over the years and have found MediaWiki to be one of the best. I
am currently the Wiki Tender for the Fedora classroom and am assisting with
wiki sweep. I promote Fedora and the Fedora Project every chance I have.
My wiki page: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Ardchoille42
My FAS page: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/view/ardchoille42
I enjoy learning new things and I look forward to becoming an asset to the
Fedora Project.

[Fedora Infrastructure] #2133: fedoraproject.org Website Accept-Language erratic.

#2133: fedoraproject.org Website Accept-Language erratic.

Hi,
Every time I access the Fedora Project website
(http://fedoraproject.org/), I
am greeted with the pt_BR version of it. In my Firefox I've got defined
the
languages "pt, en". So, I'm thinking that if the site ignores my language
preferences, I should have received the English version, if not, and the
pt is not an option, I should receive the English version as well, and
not the Brazilian.
Firefox doesn't have a "pt-PT" version of this string. The available
options are "pt" for Portuguese and "pt-br" for Brasilean. So I tested it
with the German language.
I've tried both: "de" and "de_CH". When I choose "de" as preferred
language in
Firefox, I get the "de" page. When I choose "de_CH" I get the "de_CH"
page.
So, why doesn't this works exactly like this for "pt"?
= reason =
I don't know.
= recommendation =
Please make this work for pt_PT page like the de_CH.

F13 spin websites: home stretch
by Mel Chua
This is what I believe to be the remaining tasks to get the 4 new spin
pages to v.1.0 for the F13 release, in order of how close they are to
shippable. Copying spin owners here as well.
The urgent thing here that we don't already have covered is the banners
- so copying the design team also, with a plea to look at
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/132. We may have a newcomer
who can take a shot at it, but they will need guidance if so (and we'll
find out tomorrow whether they can help in time).
Freeze is Tuesday, so I believe that is the deadline we are shooting for
(what time on Tuesday, in what timezone?)

Hi
I can not find some strings below in PO file which are appeared in
English at the above. Looking in some other languages, those strings are
appeared in English as well, even those languages are all 100% translated.
Where can I find them to translate?
I believe that this site is fetching latest translation periodically,
but how often?
Other Options
* Formats: DVD ISOs, Physical Media
* Architectures: 64-bit, PPC, and others
* Desktops: KDE, XFCE, GNOME, and others
* Spins: Electronics Lab, Education, and others
o The section "Other Options", Formats, Architectures, Desktops, Spins
exist in PO and have all been translated. But their descriptions such as
'DVD ISOs, Physical Media', '64-bit PPC, and others' etc can not be
found in PO file and left in English.
Export Regulations
By clicking on and downloading Fedora, you agree to comply with the
following terms and conditions:
Read full export regulations
o 'Export Regulations' exists in PO and has been translated. But the
description followed can not be found in PO and left in English.

Online Classroom
The Fedora IRC Classroom periodically holds classes to help you better
use, understand, and manage your Fedora installation. Refer to the
Classroom page for more information on upcoming classes, and archives of
previous class sessions.
o 'Online Classroom' exists in PO and has been translated, but the
description followed can not be found in PO and left in English.
