We have some spins which are rather outdated, a few perhaps are even dead.
We should make it impossible to access the download tab in these spin
pages.
Solution:
* Check on the JSON file if the spin is available before displaying the
spin page with the download tab
* Check and remove variables (curr_id), if they are used outside the
download tab

#165: wrong Torrent iso size on spins.fpo

rev d77ff0e is a workaround, which needs to be reverted.
Problem is that on data/templates/sidebar.html, formatsize retuns 0 as the
json stats file has size: 0, from puppet
./modules/torrent/files/torrentjsonstats.py.
but puppet/modules/torrent/files/torrent-generator/torrent-generator is
fine for http://torrent.fedoraproject.org
So we need to add again the ISO size, as a variable on this string, that
needs to be translatable.

The tips on how to use fedora on http://fedoraproject.org/en/using/ are
based on fedora 14/GNOME2 and are thus outdated. This includes the
screenshots as well as some of the tips themselves.
Particularly "Create custom app launchers" describes a function/feature
that is not present in GNOME3 and represent a very non-GNOME3 workflow (I
think it should be removed).
With GNOME 3.6/fedora 18 around the corner its exists a good opportunity
to create new use-cases.

The idea is to be able to provide the right Fedora logo, Fedora banners..
To the whole web using Open Graph.
It's an idea from Paul Frields, see
[https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/websites/2013-July/011482.html
the request].
Let's make a test and see the real usage.

In some places of the site, "forums" links to Ask Fedora and in this page,
it links to fedoraforum.org instead. We should be consistent and not
confuse others. Either create a new link to Ask Fedora and and have forum
link to fedoraforum.org in parallel or chose one.

We need a way to check the links on our websites.
It could be in ~/tools/ and use http://search.cpan.org/dist/W3C-
LinkChecker/
First of all, we should replace all download.fpo urls by dl.fpo to avoid
mirrors issue.
That will help us checking external links, but also internal ones that
change for each new releases (checksums, iso..)

There is still a lot of time but we should start preparing the fudcon.fpo
pages for FUDCon LATAM [1] in Cusco [2] and Flock in Charleston (South
Carolina USA) [3], which replaces the FUDCon EMEA and NA.
It could be the right moment to redesign also the fudcon pages (ticket
#193), but it's not a must.
While FUDCon LATAM has already organized a few basic things, as the banner
etc., Flock is still starting this process.

#210: Should we re-organize download pages?

Our actual download pages are still remanends from older methods of
shipping Fedora. We had 6 or 7 CDs, spins and some netinstall CDs, but now
the arches and formats are much more and we are creating confusion. This
leads to misunderstandings and we are also not able to promote all the
arches the right way.
Actually we have 4 download pages on fp.o:
* get-fedora
* get-fedora-options
* get-fedora-all
* get-prerelease
and we have also http://spins.fedoraproject.org
My thought would be to:
* Drop the get-fedora-all page completely
* Avoid any kind of duplicates, i.e. some spins (the major ones) are
available on 2 or 3 pages. All spins should reside on spins.fp.o!
* Use the get-fedora page to promote all the shipping methods
The clearest method to do so IMHO would be to drop also the right random
banners we have on the sidebar (Desktop, 2nd-arches, Cloud, Spins) and to
put them into the get-fedora page.\\
They should link to the tabs in get-fedora-options or to our spins page
and give users a clear idea of what is available.\\
Same for get-pre-release: it would be easy to promote on the get-fedora
page, and we could also advertise it better on our main page.
If I can find some time after F19 GA I could give it a try, but if you
have concerns or ideas please let me know and comment.

See FESCO-approved Fedora 20 change
[https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/VisibleCloud Visible Cloud]. Among
other things, this requests that the cloud download/launch be made as
prominent as the default desktop on get.fedoraproject.org and on the main
Fedora web site.
This implies a major overhaul of get.f.p.o, and a reasonably big change to
the main web site too.
