I tend to agree with pylint bug. It's seems rather annoying to have to always do the
str() casting. And it clear from runtime this works out fine. The other area of pylint
"errors" stem from the same inability to detect the runtime association of
types. The blog post talked about how to teach pylint more about your code; but that
seemed like a lot of work for little benefit.
