I pulled the svn repo mentioned on this page. Nothing seems relevant
to the current kernel code. I think iSNS development should be
considered a new feature, and given that everything else is in the
kernel, I'd assume iSNS support would be via kernel code too.
It's on my todo list but haven't been able to prioritize it. Would
you say this is an important feature that we should be working on?
Well, I work for a NAS manufacturer that used to provide support for
iSCSI with IET. We are now transitioning to LIO and are happy with it.
However, since the support of iSNS that was provided by IET is missing
from LIO, we now have a missing feature. I don't know if iSNS is widely
used though.
You may want to ask over on target-devel, and get Nick's take on
importance and possible implementation.
