1) etc/augeas-utils
No idea what this is. But anything under /etc is by definition not part of the production
builds and not terribly important (and certainly doesn't need to be built by the main
root build). Usually these are things like development tools or examples or things like
that.
2) etc/apt
IIRC, this was an apt agent plugin that we moved to /etc because it didn't compile and
was broken.
3) modules/helpers/inventory-serializer
I think this is something Lukas put together as part of the stuff related to inventory
export/import. Not sure of its state or if its even useful now.
7) modules/plugins/ raw-config-test
A test plugin that was used when we were trying to implement raw config. Still a great
feature I wish we'd come back to but right now we don't support raw config. This
should be moved to /etc as we don't' even support raw config features at all so
this plugin has no shot at working.
onewire
Agent plugin that I think Heiko (or greg?) put together - its a prototype managing a
OneWire adapter - this plugin monitors temperature of a device (I think). Again,
prototype, not even sure if it still works or not.
lsof
This was a prototype I threw together when me and greg were thinking about supporting
discovery of networked machines. It uses lsof to discovery network resources. This idea
never got off the ground, though this plugin could still be useful to detect networked
resources. This probably still works, but how useful it actually is remains to be seen.
jdbctrace
I really wish I was able to finish this one. This extends the Byteman plugin and the idea
was that this plugin injects Byteman rules into a running VM so that JDBC calls can be
traced using byte code manipulation. Would allow you to get monitoring data regarding
JDBC calls in an application. This is a protoype and was never finished.
jira
Prototype to managing JIRA. Doesn't do very much at all - not useful right now.
