It does go through our I18N stuff, it needs L10N. Hopefully that is
what you are looking for. I called it out because the previous
portlet
text had already been localized into most of the languages we
support.
So from that perspective we've lost something, the welcome portlet
will
not welcome people in their own language. Yet.
