Summary: Add to F11 notes: issue with hardware sensors
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: high
Priority: urgent
Component: release-notes
AssignedTo: relnotes(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: awilliam(a)redhat.com
QAContact: kwade(a)redhat.com
CC: wb8rcr(a)arrl.net
Blocks: 151189
Classification: Fedora
There is an issue in Fedora 11 with the use of hardware sensors. It has been
explained excellently in this blog post:
http://hansdegoede.livejournal.com/7932.html
by Hans de Goede. His text could be used more or less unchanged for a release
note. This issue should be added to the Fedora 11 release notes.

[Bug 442642] New: Hebrew release-notes are left-justified
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Please do not reply directly to this email. All additional
comments should be made in the comments box of this bug report.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=442642
Summary: Hebrew release-notes are left-justified
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: low
Component: release-notes
AssignedTo: relnotes(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: oron(a)actcom.co.il
QAContact: kwade(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
Some languages like Hebrew and Arabic are written Right-to-Left.
The HTML generated for the release-notes (and probably any other
docs generated from the same generation system) does not contain any
related instructions and therefore everything is wrongly justified
to the left (including numbering, indentation etc.)
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora-9
How reproducible:
Generate html documentation and look at the resulting html.
Notice the numbering/bullets location and the paragraph justification.
Additional info:
1. A quick and dirty fix is to put a single line:
direction: rtl;
in the fedora.css generated file.
However, this should be done conditionally on the language.
2. A similar solution was done to the fp.o website (by ricky) and
works really good.

Was going through the fedora-11 release notes in kannada.
For 1.4 Common bugs, it has been written as "Saamaan dhoshagalu". It should
have been "Saamaanya dhoshagalu".
Sorry I don't have a language tool at hand, such that I could have given you
stuff in Kannada only.

Description of problem:
The list of i586 only CPUs in the Fedora 12 release notes is incorrect.
The Geode GX does support CMOV, in fact I think all Cyrix and MediaGX/Geode
processors that have MMX have CMOV too. Also, AMD K6 and older should be added
to the list. Here is my list:
* Intel Pentium MMX and older
* AMD K6 and older
* pre-MMX Cyrix CPUs (including older MediaGX)
* Ezra and Samuel core VIA C3 and all older Centaur processors
* All Rise processors

Description of problem:
In section 4.1.4.1 of the release notes ("Icons in menus and buttons") it is
mentioned that "To get the old, icon-rich appearance back, select System →
Preferences → Appearance, click the Interface tab and enable Show icons in
menus."
However, in the "Appearance" window, there is no tab called "Interface". The
only three tabs are Theme, Background, and Fonts. The 2 commands of gconftool
work well, though. This was reproduced on a Fedora 12 GNOME livecd with no
updates applied.

2.boot from it by grub
3.choose hard drive install
4.choose partition and directory hold image

Expected Results:

1.my pc memory :214M and cpu:mobile AMD Athlon(tm)XP 1800+ F10 ok ,from F11
,could not install from hard drive
2.Tian Shixiong(tiansworld(a)gmail.com) took a test,with his test,256M could
install, but 214M failed ,same situation with me.
--- Additional comment from rhe(a)redhat.com on 2009-11-26 01:22:46 EDT ---
I installed f12(constantine) i386 on kvm and experienced the same. Hard drive
installation failed for 212M memory(error occurred when searching the
install.img) but succeeded for 256M memory.
The release notes say the minimum required memory is 192M, but it's not
possible at least using this installation method.
