Fedora 35 Update: parallel-20221022-1.fc35
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2022-8721ac105b
2022-11-01 15:55:20.109712
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : parallel
Product : Fedora 35
Version : 20221022
Release : 1.fc35
URL : https://www.gnu.org/software/parallel/
Summary : Shell tool for executing jobs in parallel
Description :
GNU Parallel is a shell tool for executing jobs in parallel using one or more
machines. A job is typically a single command or a small script that has to be
run for each of the lines in the input. The typical input is a list of files, a
list of hosts, a list of users, or a list of tables.
If you use xargs today you will find GNU Parallel very easy to use. If you
write loops in shell, you will find GNU Parallel may be able to replace most of
the loops and make them run faster by running jobs in parallel. If you use ppss
or pexec you will find GNU Parallel will often make the command easier to read.
GNU Parallel also makes sure output from the commands is the same output as you
would get had you run the commands sequentially. This makes it possible to use
output from GNU Parallel as input for other programs.
GNU Parallel is command-line-compatible with moreutils' parallel, but offers
additional features.

Fedora 35 Update: rEFInd-0.13.3.1-4.fc35

Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2022-6eadb434b8
2022-11-01 15:55:20.109661
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : rEFInd
Product : Fedora 35
Version : 0.13.3.1
Release : 4.fc35
URL : http://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/
Summary : User friendly EFI boot manager
Description :
A graphical boot manager for EFI- and UEFI-based computers, such as all
Intel-based Macs and recent (most 2011 and later) PCs. rEFInd presents a
boot menu showing all the EFI boot loaders on the EFI-accessible
partitions, and optionally BIOS-bootable partitions on Macs and BIOS boot
entries on UEFI PCs with CSMs. EFI-compatible OSes, including Linux,
provide boot loaders that rEFInd can detect and launch. rEFInd can launch
Linux EFI boot loaders such as ELILO, GRUB Legacy, GRUB 2, and 3.3.0 and
later kernels with EFI stub support. EFI file system drivers for ext2/3/4fs,
ReiserFS, Btrfs, NTFS, HFS+, and ISO-9660 enable rEFInd to read boot
loaders from these file systems, too. rEFInd's ability to detect boot
loaders at run time makes it very easy to use, particularly when paired with
Linux kernels that provide EFI stub support.

Fedora 35 Update: mingw-libidn2-2.3.4-1.fc35
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2022-d57fe3ffd0
2022-11-01 15:55:20.109641
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : mingw-libidn2
Product : Fedora 35
Version : 2.3.4
Release : 1.fc35
URL : https://www.gnu.org/software/libidn/#libidn2
Summary : MinGW Windows Internationalized Domain Name 2008 support library
Description :
Libidn2 is an implementation of the IDNA2008 specifications in RFC
5890, 5891, 5892, 5893 and TR46 for internationalized domain names
(IDN). It is a standalone library, without any dependency on libidn.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
# libidn2 2.3.4 (2022-10-23) * Support for Unicode 15.0.0 We now uses
Unicode.org's IDNA2008 tables rather than IANA's. See
https://gitlab.com/libidn/libidn2/-/issues/112 and
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help-libidn/2022-10/msg00000.html for
rationale, which can be summarized into 1) IANA are still on 2019-era Unicode
version 12 and we wish to support Unicode version 12-15, 2) consistency with
some other implementations, 3) the only incompatibility related to `U+19DA` is
deemed to have minor real-world consequences. Thus we break backwards
compatibility for `U+19DA` in this release compared against libidn2 0.11..2.3.3
thus reverting back to the libidn2 <= 0.11 behaviour. We decided to not bump
ABI version and believe this is the best choice going forward as well for minor
internal non-API related ABI changes. * Gnulib updated and now libunistring-
optional is used This allows you to force libidn2 to use internal
libunistring with the following command: `./configure --with-included-
libunistring`
