Name : netcdf
Product : Fedora 23
Version : 4.3.3.1
Release : 5.fc23
URL : http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/
Summary : Libraries for the Unidata network Common Data Form
Description :
NetCDF (network Common Data Form) is an interface for array-oriented
data access and a freely-distributed collection of software libraries
for C, Fortran, C++, and perl that provides an implementation of the
interface. The NetCDF library also defines a machine-independent
format for representing scientific data. Together, the interface,
library, and format support the creation, access, and sharing of
scientific data. The NetCDF software was developed at the Unidata
Program Center in Boulder, Colorado.
NetCDF data is:
o Self-Describing: A NetCDF file includes information about the
data it contains.
o Network-transparent: A NetCDF file is represented in a form that
can be accessed by computers with different ways of storing
integers, characters, and floating-point numbers.
o Direct-access: A small subset of a large dataset may be accessed
efficiently, without first reading through all the preceding
data.
o Appendable: Data can be appended to a NetCDF dataset along one
dimension without copying the dataset or redefining its
structure. The structure of a NetCDF dataset can be changed,
though this sometimes causes the dataset to be copied.
o Sharable: One writer and multiple readers may simultaneously
access the same NetCDF file.

Name : dl_poly
Product : Fedora 23
Version : 1.9.20140324
Release : 14.fc23
URL : http://www.ccp5.ac.uk/DL_POLY_CLASSIC/
Summary : General purpose classical molecular dynamics (MD) simulation
Description :
DL_POLY Classic is a general purpose molecular dynamics simulation
package developed at Daresbury Laboratory by W. Smith, T.R. Forester
and I.T. Todorov. It is based on the package DL_POLY_2, which was
originally developed by the Computational Chemistry Group, (CCG) at
Daresbury Laboratory under the auspices of the Engineering and
Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for (CCP5), the EPSRC's
Collaborative Computational Project for the Computer Simulation of
Condensed Phases.
DL_POLY Classic can be executed as a serial or a parallel application.
The code achieves parallelisation using the Replicated Data strategy
which is suitable for homogeneous, distributed-memory, parallel
computers. The code is useful for simulations of up to 30,000 atoms
with good parallel performance on up to 100 processors, though in some
circumstances it can exceed or fail to reach these limits.

This is a serial version.

Name : gromacs
Product : Fedora 23
Version : 5.0.6
Release : 6.fc23
URL : http://www.gromacs.org
Summary : Fast, Free and Flexible Molecular Dynamics
Description :
GROMACS is a versatile and extremely well optimized package to perform
molecular dynamics computer simulations and subsequent trajectory analysis.
It is developed for biomolecules like proteins, but the extremely high
performance means it is used also in several other field like polymer chemistry
and solid state physics.
This package provides single and double precision binaries.
The documentation is in the package gromacs-common.
mdrun has been compiled with thread parallellization, so it runs in parallel
on shared memory systems. If you want to run on a cluster, you probably want
to install one of the MPI parallellized packages.
N.B. All binaries have names starting with g_, for example mdrun has been
renamed to g_mdrun.

Summary : Suite of nonlinear solvers
Description :
SUNDIALS is a SUite of Non-linear DIfferential/ALgebraic equation Solvers
for use in writing mathematical software.
SUNDIALS was implemented with the goal of providing robust time integrators
and nonlinear solvers that can easily be incorporated into existing simulation
codes. The primary design goals were to require minimal information from the
user, allow users to easily supply their own data structures underneath the
solvers, and allow for easy incorporation of user-supplied linear solvers and
preconditioners.

A PDE oriented language using Finite Element Method FreeFem++ is an
implementation of a language dedicated to the finite element method. It
provides you a way to solve Partial Differential Equations (PDE) simply.
Problems involving partial differential equations (pde) of several
