Fedora 20 Update: libguestfs-1.24.5-1.fc20
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2014-1262
2014-01-22 01:43:27
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : libguestfs
Product : Fedora 20
Version : 1.24.5
Release : 1.fc20
URL : http://libguestfs.org/
Summary : Access and modify virtual machine disk images
Description :
Libguestfs is a library for accessing and modifying guest disk images.
Amongst the things this is good for: making batch configuration
changes to guests, getting disk used/free statistics (see also:
virt-df), migrating between virtualization systems (see also:
virt-p2v), performing partial backups, performing partial guest
clones, cloning guests and changing registry/UUID/hostname info, and
much else besides.
Libguestfs uses Linux kernel and qemu code, and can access any type of
guest filesystem that Linux and qemu can, including but not limited
to: ext2/3/4, btrfs, FAT and NTFS, LVM, many different disk partition
schemes, qcow, qcow2, vmdk.
Libguestfs provides ways to enumerate guest storage (eg. partitions,
LVs, what filesystem is in each LV, etc.). It can also run commands
in the context of the guest.
Libguestfs is a library that can be linked with C and C++ management
programs.
For high level virt tools, guestfish (shell scripting and command line
access), and guestmount (mount guest filesystems using FUSE), install
'libguestfs-tools'.
For shell scripting and command line access, install 'guestfish'.
To mount guest filesystems on the host using FUSE, install
'libguestfs-mount'.
For Erlang bindings, install 'erlang-libguestfs'.
For GObject bindings and GObject Introspection, install
'libguestfs-gobject-devel'.
For Golang bindings, install 'golang-guestfs'.
For Java bindings, install 'libguestfs-java-devel'.
For Lua bindings, install 'lua-guestfs'
For OCaml bindings, install 'ocaml-libguestfs-devel'.
For Perl bindings, install 'perl-Sys-Guestfs'.
For PHP bindings, install 'php-libguestfs'.
For Python bindings, install 'python-libguestfs'.
For Ruby bindings, install 'ruby-libguestfs'.

Fedora 20 Update: spampd-2.30-16.fc20
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2014-0705
2014-01-12 03:54:56
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : spampd
Product : Fedora 20
Version : 2.30
Release : 16.fc20
URL : http://www.worlddesign.com/index.cfm/rd/mta/spampd.htm
Summary : Transparent SMTP/LMTP proxy filter using spamassassin
Description :
Spampd is a program used within an e-mail delivery system to scan messages for
possible Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE, aka spam) content. It uses
SpamAssassin (SA) to do the actual message scanning. Spampd acts as a
transparent SMTP/LMTP proxy between two mail servers, and during the
transaction it passes the mail through SA. If SA decides the mail could be
spam, then spampd will ask SA to add some headers and a report to the message
indicating it's spam and why.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Changes:
- Convert to systemd.
- Untaint some variables (Perl 5.18).
- Do not create PID file if not detaching.
Contents of README.systemd:
As of spampd-2.30-16, the software has been converted to systemd.
The PID file is no longer created, because spampd does not background itself.
To enable and start the service, use the usual:
systemctl enable spampd.service;
systemctl start spampd.service
The environment file, /etc/sysconfig/spampd, now has a slighly different format. Instead of using options, use SPAMPD_OPTIONS. For instance:
SPAMPD_OPTIONS="--host=127.0.0.1:10026 --relayhost=127.0.0.1:10027"
