Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2012-13735
2012-09-10 22:02:47
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : netcf
Product : Fedora 17
Version : 0.2.2
Release : 1.fc17
URL : https://fedorahosted.org/netcf/
Summary : Cross-platform network configuration library
Description :
Netcf is a library used to modify the network configuration of a
system. Network configurations are expressed in a platform-independent
XML format, which netcf translates into changes to the system's
'native' network configuration files.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
This update resolves a few longstanding bugs that have been fixed in upstream netcf for quite a long time, but weren't reported in Fedora until recently. (Although the version change seems significant, the difference in functionality is very small - the version bump from 0.1.x to 0.2.x was due to new ports of netcf to other Linux distros.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ChangeLog:
* Thu Sep 6 2012 Laine Stump <laine(a)redhat.com> - 0.2.2-1
- Rebase to netcf-0.2.2
- update gnulib to fix broken build on systems with nwer glibc (which no
longer provides gets()).
- add ncftool manpage
- interfaces are only "active" if both UP and RUNNING.
- add "bundled(gnulib)" to specfile to indicate that we use a local
copy of gnulib sources (used by Fedora/RHEL when determining the scope
of security bugs).
- Fix ipcalc_netmask, which was trimming off the last digit in
character representations of full-length netmasks (all 4 octets
having 3 chars each)
- fix missing <bond> and <vlan> elements in status xml
- other minor bugfixes
