Fedora 13 Update: wqy-bitmap-fonts-0.9.9-12.fc13
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2010-2992
2010-02-26 11:46:35
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : wqy-bitmap-fonts
Product : Fedora 13
Version : 0.9.9
Release : 12.fc13
URL : http://wenq.org/enindex.cgi
Summary : WenQuanYi Bitmap Chinese Fonts
Description :
The Wen Quan Yi bitmap font is a manually fine-tuned
multi-strike bitmap font for on-screen display of Chinese
(traditional and simplified). It has arguably the most complete
coverage for Chinese characters among all known open-source
fonts, including CJK Unified Ideograph (U4E00 - U9FA5) and
CJK Unified Ideograph Extension A (U3400 - U4DB5) glyphs
at four different sizes (9pt-12X12 pixel, 10pt-13X13 pixel,
11pt-15X15 pixel, 12pt-16x16 pixel) and two weights
(medium and bold). Use this font in web pages and elsewhere
eliminates the annoying "blurring" problems caused by
the high stroke density of many Chinese characters and
insufficient "hinting" of anti-aliased Chinese fonts.
This font also provides bitmap glyphs for Basic Latin,
Japanese Hiragana (U3040 - U309F) and Katakana (U30A0 - U30FF).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Remove all font preference settings from 61-wqy-bitmapsong.conf, will rely on
65-nonlatin/65-language-zh in the future to set the proper font preference for
this font.

Product : Fedora 13
Version : 3.0.0
Release : 0.6.0daab7da36a8.hg.fc13

Summary : Messaging and membership subsystem for High-Availability Linux
Description :
heartbeat is a basic high-availability subsystem for Linux-HA.
It will run scripts at initialization, and when machines go up or down.
This version will also perform IP address takeover using gratuitous ARPs.
Heartbeat contains a cluster membership layer, fencing, and local and
clusterwide resource management functionality.
When used with Pacemaker, it supports "n-node" clusters with significant
capabilities for managing resources and dependencies.
In addition it continues to support the older release 1 style of
2-node clustering.
It implements the following kinds of heartbeats:
- Serial ports
- UDP/IP multicast (ethernet, etc)
- UDP/IP broadcast (ethernet, etc)
- UDP/IP heartbeats
- "ping" heartbeats (for routers, switches, etc.)
(to be used for breaking ties in 2-node systems)
