It has been a month. For some reason, gtk-sharp2 and gnome-sharp are
not rebuilt with ppc64 support yet. We will only have a very limited
time to rebuild all the depending packages for F-11. It would only
take a few minutes to rebuild gtk-sharp2 and gnome-sharp for their
maintainers.
Why are these things left to the last minute?
The work should have begun at least i have seen Alex setting off a number of
builds, sadly the original message saying that after years of being broken
we got ppc64 support appears to have gotten missed by the relevant
maintainers. I personally don't have much involvement with Fedora anymore
beyond trying to at least leave Mono with a set of better guidelines and
hopefully with an active SIG.
My CVS access is broken and I strongly suspect that I also lost my
provenpackager status so I can't even go around to fix them. This is
especially sad since given the activity on this list and near complete lack
of excitement, I think Mono in Fedora has a dire future currently. I suspect
more people than me feel overworked and are tired of the treatment they and
Mono get by Fedora.
I wonder how to turn it around, perhaps some nice bribes with doughnuts and
beer with get people working again.
Also I apologize for leaving your message in the moderation queue for so
long, a tale of utter personal embarrashement involving me forgetting my
password which should not be eloborated on.
