Package gio-sharp - sponsorship request
by Lukas Zapletal
Hello,
I have created my very first Fedora package. Its a mono library binding. I would like to submit also program called Docky which makes use of this library later on.
The package passed formal review by Paul Lange today and its pending sponsorship. I would like to ask potential sponsors from Mono SIG as I would like to join the group and submit more Mono and Vala related packages.
The gio-sharp package is submitted under https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=635451
Thank you for any comments, suggestions and sponsorship.

Changes to mono-2.8 packages
by Paul F. Johnson
Hi,
With a bit of luck (which I'm not having much of currently), I'll have
the mono-2.8 tool chain uploaded to my website tonight. I'm not putting
into koji to give people a chance to ensure their packages to work.
Lots and lots of changes to report
1. The spec file has been cleaned up to get rid of the sed bits after
the patches
2. The patches for using %{libdir} have been unified - it makes life
easier
3. There are a couple of new sub-packages - mvc, mvc-devel and winfx
(see below)
4. Support for .NET 1.1 has gone. I don't intend putting in a 1.1 compat
sub-package. If you have something that relies on 1.1, please contact
upstream to see if they have patches for 2.0
The mvc/mvc-devel packages are quite big changes as they have removed
some of the components from mono-web for themselves (mainly as this is
where they should be according to the Novell spec file). This may cause
some problems for anyone who has a binary which used to drag in
web-devel. Chances are you'll need to drag in mvc-devel as well now.
winfx is the mono implementation of the winfx API library - it's really
useful and open source :)
If I can get the bugger to build, something will appear soon :)
