A query for something called "qpid-broker:49000" doesn't really make
sense in SRV land. Part of the idea is that you don't know the port
number you're going to connect to.
A test lookup would look something like ...
$ dig SRV
_matahari._tcp.example.com
Here is an example of what you'll see when an SRV record is found:
$ dig SRV
_sip._udp.russellbryant.net
