Syamsul,
The formal invitation is still with the University Office, it should be out
by today. I'll forward the invitation to you in the evening.
2. After much discussion, we have decided to conduct only one session for
the Installfest which will be held in the morning session (10.00am -
1.00pm). The Installfest is a side session that will be running concurrently
with the talks.
3. As for the speaker, we still have two slots available and we are looking
for anyone who would be interested in giving talks. The topic is open as
long as it is suitable for beginner level. I.e Open source career etc. After
budget approval, we were only able to secure RM 150 as a token of
appreciation.
#fedora-my, anybody taking this ? .. wariola? .. brian ? .. probably
something general bout FOSS ..
4. For the last slot (3.45 - 4.30), we would like to invite the Fedora team
to give a talk on "How can I contribute to the open source community?"
This is to give students ideas on how they can participate in the open
source community. For this session it doesn't matter how many people would
like to present. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure any token of
appreciation budget for this session.
i dont think its a problem to do this :) .. any objections ?
5. Regarding the speaker slot for Fedora, we have decided to allocate Fedora
with the 4 slot (2.45 -3.45pm). Just to double check, will Izhar be giving
the talk or will you be syamsul?
it will be me ..
Attached to the mail is the revised tentative.
Btw , could you send me a contact number to ping just in case we are
lost in UIA :P .. thanks
Thanks.
Regards,
Khaliq
