Hi All,
I made up a USB bootable Fedora Xfce flash drive. Seems
to work just as well as the Live USB. And, it get around the problem
with the small persistence and the worse problem of the persistence
not giving back space when files are deleted.
But I could get the bugger to boot in my Supermicro X8SAX based
computer. Turn out that the X8SAX's BIOS doesn't see flash drives
in my add on USB 3 controller:
$ lspci | grep -i usb
...
09:00.0 USB controller: Renesas Technology Corp. uPD720202 USB 3.0 Host
Controller (rev 02)
I boots perfectly when I moving the drive to a USB 2 port.
-T
And, it does boot perfectly in my other Supermicro C7Z87
based computer with a native USB3 controller
