At one point we tried working with the id view feature in IPA. As a
result of that, our user group now shows up like this:

despite this the group still shows up as xt_sa instead of gsil_sa.

Hi,
you might have to remove SSSD cache on the IPA server completely, please
try
sssctl cache-remove -ops
(sssctl id part of the sssd-tools package).
