As part of the work for bug 441473, support for downloable fonts was
implemented on Mac and Windows. For Linux, there's additional work required in
our Pango font code to hook into this mechanism, this is being done under bug
449356.
Once that bug is complete, the work for this includes:
* within font selection code, lookup fonts within the user font object when
appropriate
* load/unload fonts using downloaded data [src: url()]
* lookup specific font faces using the full name of a given face [src: local()]

Well I'm at the latest Shiretoko too...
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b4pre) Gecko/20090310
Shiretoko/3.1b4pre
Slightly strange? I tried with a fresh empty prfoile just in case. Same result.
What did you see with my vera2 testcase?

issues still not resolved in Minefield:
* default fonts are bigger then expected and slightly different (I understand
a reason why they are set on linux platform that way, but they should default
to Times New Roman / Arial if they are available)
* when font hinting is set to “Slight”, default sans-serif font has colourful
artefacts, it disappears when hinting is set to “Hard”
* My desktop has font size set to 7.5pt, Firefox is using 7pt in menus /
windows though
anyway I got used to this issues :)
