Hi everybody,
Patrick and I were able to finalize the Flock registration and proposals app (regcfp) today and with Stephen Gallagher's help we tested it and turned it on. Things to note:
- I don't have the hotel code yet. I will ask for it tomorrow. - I have seen one report of a PayPal redirect issue. It was sent to flock-staff. I will forward to Patrick in case he's not on that alias. - I announced it to the 2017 attendees list but have not yet put together any other announcements. A community blog post would probably be good. I'll work on drafting something. If anyone wants to help please hit me up! - The deadline for CFP / funding request is set to June 15 right now. - flocktofedora.org has also been updated, of course.
Check the registration app out here:
http://register.flocktofedora.org
Cheers, ~m
Thanks Máirín and Patrick for the work on this. I would like to have a question regarding the registration fee. Is the amount of money showing up when a country is selected in field "Registration Fee" in USD or in local currency of the selected country ?
Regards, Jan

All prices in the system are in USD.

Then there must be something wrong, because EU countries have 17.5$ while France and Italy have 20$. EU (those who are part of the EURO) should have at least the same fee for all. Argentina would have 167$ and Czech Republic 380$? Not speaking of Vietnam, which has 304260$. Can you check it? Maybe we can clarify that better on the website too.

And for India it shows $645. Its very high. I remember we were talking about $10-20

Yes, that seems to be inverted. The intention was for the cost to be the local purchasing power equivalent of $25 in the hands of someone in the US.

Sorry, the calculation was done the wrong way around (multiplication instead of division). This is now fixed.

Thanks for the fix Patrick. One more thing: can the fee be rounded somehow ? Currently it shows for Czech Republis i.e. $1.6447368421052633 , which will be hard to pay exactly :)
Thanks, Jan

So, I'm terrible at economics and had read the table I got incorrectly. I'm now fixing this code. Do note that it will be rounded in the final amount, but sure :)
(Somewhat delayed, sorry)

I went through the templates and I think I got all the spots where the currency was unlabeled. I did some formatting on the totals table too so it's more easily read.

I am late to reply, but the EU as a whole does not have the same PPP. Prices in Slovakia could vary from those in Germany, for example.

Hi, it looks great, thank you.
I may found a little glitch. In Basic Details, the name filed is editable and empty by default (i.e. the name from FAS is probably not used as previously indicated in the discussions), the e-mail is taken from FAS. However, the note bellow speaks about name:
"Flock-related emails will be sent to this address. Error in your name? Fix it in FAS."
I believe the note should read:
"Flock-related emails will be sent to this address. Wrong email address? Fix it in FAS."

Also, when I click "Submit a talk" it asks for my name. Later the name is filled in all the forms as inserted in there without any (obvious) wy to edit. So maybe the issue is not just with the help text but that when I log in trough FAS, it only sends in my username and email address.
Also, when I change my name in FAS, it is not changed in the forms (even when I log out and log in).
