Re: Schedule Juggling -- flock-planning Digest, Vol 4, Issue 2
by Remy DeCausemaker
Josh,
Thank you very much for helping juggle the sessions. I'm glad you folks
could work it out :)
Ruth,
We should powow off list about what kinds of hardware requirements you have
for camera equipment. I know we have a few HD capable video cameras in the
FOSSBox, and we can likely bring an extra along one, if it meets your needs.
Thanks all for your help, and we're all psyched to help Flock where we can.

Printed schedules?
by Ruth Suehle
It just occurred to me that with websites and smartphone apps, I
essentially never use the printed conference schedules any more. I don't
have a problem with making one as usual for Flock, but if nobody else
actually finds them useful, let's move that money somewhere else! I can see
it being handy for having a list of maps and restaurants, but I think just
about everybody Yelps and Google Maps and whatnot on their phones now
anyway. We also have a mobile site schedule through Sched.
Thoughts?

Flock Folks,
Our Summer crew from the FOSSBox at RIT (http://foss.rit.edu) will be
sending 10 people down to Flock! Our students are excited to share their
research projects, and almost all of them have had talks, hackfests, or
BoF's accepted. We were hoping to be able to get photos/video of each of
the students' sessions (We will be bringing along a photographer/cameras),
and hoping our students would be be able to attend eachother's
presentations. There is just *one* scheduling conflict, where two of our
teams will be presenting at the same time during the *Saturday*, August 10
• 12:00pm - 12:50pm slot.
Is there any way we can get one of these sessions bumped to a different
slot? It doesn't matter which one is first, so long as they are not at the
same time.

Hi Tom and Flock organizers,
In today FAmSCo meeting [1], we discussed about our in-person meeting at
Flock as the opportunity you had mentioned here.
However, as we know, there are three of us (cwickert, sesivany and me) got
sponsored to Flock. All others have not got any confirmation yet.
I don't know if it is still enough time to get this happened?
If so, it'd be better to make it asap since Flock is just about 5 weeks
away.
