I'm already the co-maintainer for a couple of packages in Fedora and
EPEL, and now would like to add a few new packages. On the wiki I only
found how to add a new package to Fedora by becoming a maintainer (
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Join_the_package_collection_maintainers
). So, two questions:
- what is the process of adding a package if I'm already a packager
Check this
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/New_package_process_for_existing_contributors
- could somebody look at riemann-c-client and syslog-ng-incubator at
http://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/czanik/syslog-ng35/ if they are
ready to enter Fedora?
Looks like both the packages need some cleanup to follow packaging
guidelines. You can report a new package review and the reviewer will
guide you to fix the issues in those packages.
I also see you have recently committed to syslog-ng package. You can
take syslog-ng.spec as an example to fix the riemann-c-client and
syslog-ng-incubator spec files.
These packages are already in active use by the syslog-ng community,
but I was asked to push them into Fedora and later to EPEL7 (once the
next version with Kafka support is released).
Bye,
Regards,
Parag.
