Fedora EPEL 7 Update: python-pycryptodomex-3.9.6-1.el7
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2020-fd1b6c8b93
2020-02-22 02:40:31.756748
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : python-pycryptodomex
Product : Fedora EPEL 7
Version : 3.9.6
Release : 1.el7
URL : http://www.pycryptodome.org/
Summary : A self-contained cryptographic library for Python
Description :
PyCryptodome is a self-contained Python package of low-level cryptographic
primitives. It's a fork of PyCrypto. It brings several enhancements with respect
to the last official version of PyCrypto (2.6.1), for instance:
* Authenticated encryption modes (GCM, CCM, EAX, SIV, OCB)
* Accelerated AES on Intel platforms via AES-NI
* Elliptic curves cryptography (NIST P-256 curve only)
* Better and more compact API (nonce and iv attributes for ciphers, automatic
generation of random nonces and IVs, simplified CTR cipher mode, and more)
* SHA-3 (including SHAKE XOFs) and BLAKE2 hash algorithms
* Salsa20 and ChaCha20 stream ciphers
* scrypt and HKDF
* Deterministic (EC)DSA
* Password-protected PKCS#8 key containers
* Shamir's Secret Sharing scheme
* Random numbers get sourced directly from the OS (and not from a CSPRNG in
userspace)
* Cleaner RSA and DSA key generation (largely based on FIPS 186-4)
* Major clean ups and simplification of the code base
PyCryptodome is not a wrapper to a separate C library like OpenSSL. To the
largest possible extent, algorithms are implemented in pure Python. Only the
pieces that are extremely critical to performance (e.g. block ciphers) are
implemented as C extensions.
Note: all modules are installed under the Cryptodome package to avoid conflicts
with the PyCrypto library.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Resolved issues: * RSA OAEP decryption was not verifying that all ``PS`` bytes
are zero. * [GH#372](https://github.com/Legrandin/pycryptodome/issues/372):
fixed memory leak for operations that use memoryviews when `cffi` is not
installed. * Fixed wrong ASN.1 OID for HMAC-SHA512 in PBE2. New features: *
Updated Wycheproof test vectors to version 0.8r12.

Name : gamemode
Product : Fedora EPEL 8
Version : 1.5
Release : 2.el8
URL : https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode
Summary : Optimize system performance for games on demand
Description :
GameMode is a daemon/lib combo for GNU/Linux that allows games to
request a set of optimizations be temporarily applied to the host OS.
GameMode was designed primarily as a stop-gap solution to problems
with the Intel and AMD CPU "powersave" or "ondemand" governors, but is
now host to a range of optimisation features and configurations, like
tweaking various settings: the CPU govenor, the I/O priority, the
kernel scheduler, the GPU performance mode and gpu overclocking
(NVIDIA). It can also excute custom scripts when launching games.

Fedora EPEL 8 Update: git-crypt-0.6.0-7.el8

Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2020-c485c70035

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : git-crypt
Product : Fedora EPEL 8
Version : 0.6.0
Release : 7.el8
URL : https://www.agwa.name/projects/git-crypt
Summary : Transparent file encryption in git
Description :
git-crypt enables transparent encryption and decryption of files in a
git repository. Files which you choose to protect are encrypted when
committed, and decrypted when checked out. git-crypt lets you freely
share a repository containing a mix of public and private
content. git-crypt gracefully degrades, so developers without the
secret key can still clone and commit to a repository with encrypted
files. This lets you store your secret material (such as keys or
passwords) in the same repository as your code, without requiring you
to lock down your entire repository.
