Fedora EPEL 6 Update: zabbix20-2.0.3-4.el6
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2012-13423
2012-11-09 17:53:19
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : zabbix20
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 2.0.3
Release : 4.el6
URL : http://www.zabbix.com
Summary : Open-source monitoring solution for your IT infrastructure
Description :
Zabbix is software that monitors numerous parameters of a network and the
health and integrity of servers. Zabbix uses a flexible notification mechanism
that allows users to configure e-mail based alerts for virtually any event.
This allows a fast reaction to server problems. Zabbix offers excellent
reporting and data visualization features based on the stored data.
This makes Zabbix ideal for capacity planning.
Zabbix supports both polling and trapping. All Zabbix reports and statistics,
as well as configuration parameters are accessed through a web-based front end.
A web-based front end ensures that the status of your network and the health of
your servers can be assessed from any location. Properly configured, Zabbix can
play an important role in monitoring IT infrastructure. This is equally true
for small organizations with a few servers and for large companies with a
multitude of servers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
zabbix20 packages the 2.0 series of Zabbix. EPEL policy only allows for bugfix releases, avoiding breaking things. Hence this package came into existence.
There are a number of changes compared to the 1.8 package, documented in zabbix-fedora.README. If you're upgrading from 1.8, I strongly advise you to go through this document. This latest release improves the documentation. The 1.8 packages must be uninstalled prior installing zabbix20.
Please don't hesitate to contact volker27(a)gmx.at if something is wrong, hard to understand or missing. You can file a bug as well, of course!
The previous release didn't explicitly require php, which caused the frontends not to work on fresh setups.

Version : 1.11.0
Release : 1.el6

developer to define its own custom tags and filters, and create its own
DSL.

1.10.3 (2012-10-19)
* fixed wrong template location in some error messages
* reverted a BC break introduced in 1.10.2
* added a split filter
1.10.2 (2012-10-15)
* fixed macro calls on PHP 5.4
1.10.1 (2012-10-15)
* made a speed optimization to macro calls when imported via the "import" tag
* fixed C extension compilation on Windows
* fixed a segfault in the C extension when using DateTime objects
