Fedora EPEL 6 Update: perl-QWizard-3.15-8.el6
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2011-3270
2011-05-10 18:21:13
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : perl-QWizard
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 3.15
Release : 8.el6
URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/QWizard/
Summary : A very portable graphical question and answer wizard system
Description :
The QWizard module allows script authors to concentrate on the
content of the forms they want their users to fill in without
worrying about the display. It allows "Question Wizard" like
interfaces to be very easily created and the results of the input
easily acted upon. Scripts written which are entirely based on
QWizard inputs are able to be run from the command line which will
show a Gtk2, Tk window or as a ReadLine interactive session or as a
CGI script without modification. Script writers do not need to know
which interface is being used to display the resulting form(s) as it
should be transparent to the script itself.
Other wizard interfaces exist for perl, but this one strives very
hard to be both extensible and easy to code with requiring as little
work by script authors as possible. It is also one of the only ones
that supports both web environments and windowing environments
without code modification required by the script author.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2011-3273
2011-05-10 18:21:20
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : perl-Getopt-GUI-Long
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 0.91
Release : 6.el6
URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Getopt-GUI-Long/
Summary : A wrapper around Getopt::Long to provide a GUI to applications
Description :
This module is a wrapper around Getopt::Long that extends the value of
the original Getopt::Long module to:
1) add a simple graphical user interface option screen if no arguments
are passed to the program. Thus, the arguments to actually use are
built based on the results of the user interface. If arguments were
passed to the program, the user interface is not shown and the
program executes as it normally would and acts just as if
Getopt::Long::GetOptions had been called instead. This requires
the QWizard and Gtk2 or Tk interfaces to be installed too.
2) provide an auto-help mechanism such that -h and --help are
handled automatically. In fact, calling your program with -h
will default to showing the user a list of short-style arguments
when one exists for the option. Similarly --help will show the
user a list of long-style when possible. --help-full will list
all potential arguments for an option (short and long both).
It's designed to make the creation of graphical shells trivial
without the programmer having to think about it much as well as
providing automatic good-looking usage output without the
programmer needing to write usage() functions.

Update Information:
Publishing in EL6 as it wasn't auto-pulled from the EL6 line for
some reason

[SECURITY] Fedora EPEL 6 Update: asterisk-1.8.4.4-3.el6
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora EPEL Update Notification
FEDORA-EPEL-2011-3702
2011-07-02 16:53:02
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : asterisk
Product : Fedora EPEL 6
Version : 1.8.4.4
Release : 3.el6
URL : http://www.asterisk.org/
Summary : The Open Source PBX
Description :
Asterisk is a complete PBX in software. It runs on Linux and provides
all of the features you would expect from a PBX and more. Asterisk
does voice over IP in three protocols, and can interoperate with
almost all standards-based telephony equipment using relatively
inexpensive hardware.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Remove erroneous systemd dependencies
The Asterisk Development Team has announced the release of Asterisk versions
1.4.41.2, 1.6.2.18.2, and 1.8.4.4, which are security releases.
These releases are available for immediate download at
http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/releases
The release of Asterisk 1.4.41.2, 1.6.2.18.2, and 1.8.4.4 resolves the
following issue:
AST-2011-011: Asterisk may respond differently to SIP requests from an
invalid SIP user than it does to a user configured on the system, even when the
alwaysauthreject option is set in the configuration. This can leak information
about what SIP users are valid on the Asterisk system.
For more information about the details of this vulnerability, please read
the security advisory AST-2011-011, which was released at the same time as this
announcement.
For a full list of changes in the current releases, please see the ChangeLog:

The Asterisk Development Team has announced the release of Asterisk versions
1.4.41.1, 1.6.2.18.1, and 1.8.4.3, which are security releases.
These releases are available for immediate download at
http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/releases
The release of Asterisk 1.4.41.1, 1.6.2.18, and 1.8.4.3 resolves several issues
as outlined below:
* AST-2011-008: If a remote user sends a SIP packet containing a null,
Asterisk assumes available data extends past the null to the
end of the packet when the buffer is actually truncated when
copied. This causes SIP header parsing to modify data past
the end of the buffer altering unrelated memory structures.
This vulnerability does not affect TCP/TLS connections.
-- Resolved in 1.6.2.18.1 and 1.8.4.3
* AST-2011-009: A remote user sending a SIP packet containing a Contact header
with a missing left angle bracket (<) causes Asterisk to
access a null pointer.
-- Resolved in 1.8.4.3
* AST-2011-010: A memory address was inadvertently transmitted over the
network via IAX2 via an option control frame and the remote party would try
to access it.
-- Resolved in 1.4.41.1, 1.6.2.18.1, and 1.8.4.3
The issues and resolutions are described in the AST-2011-008, AST-2011-009, and
AST-2011-010 security advisories.
For more information about the details of these vulnerabilities, please read
the security advisories AST-2011-008, AST-2011-009, and AST-2011-010, which were
released at the same time as this announcement.
