You jumped my gun a little bit. :)
I've been working on cleaning up and archiving the old EKG stuff, which
was spread through fedorahosted and the fedora wiki, and the next thing
on my todo list was to email this list an update on how that's been
cleaned up, what CommArch is using now, etc.
It's been suggested to me that the "right way" to do this is to have
three separate branches in the fedorahosted git repository, and provide
instructions for people to check out whichever branch they want.
I can see why this is somewhat right, but I don't really like it because
I've had discussions with both Michael DeHaan and Yaakov, and it's clear
that the ruby branch and the python branch are basically dormant, and
will be for the forseeable future.
That's why I was trying to basically provide a link to the archived
version of that source, and then figure out how to get the perl stuff
that we ARE using into the Fedorahosted repo.
fedorahosted.org/ekg has a responsibility to be an HONEST upstream,
which means showing people the history of the codebase, but also showing
people what is and isn't active.
That's what I was trying to begin to do with the current
fedorahosted.org/ekg space.
