probably an issue with your theming engine. Could you try using
Gtk+ 3.x default theme Adwaita?

Oracle, IBM, Redhat(especially, since responsible for Gnome) together
don't
dedicate adequate resources, instead make a case for 'go Windows or shMac'.
Like it or not, that's how companies work in capitalism. If there is no
monetary gain, they don't do it. If you want this to work, either do it
yourself, pay someone to do it for you or give these companies a reason to do
so. Blaming doesn't help.
