by Red Hat Bugzilla
Product: Fedora Documentation
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=959626
Bug ID: 959626
Summary: config_name mismatch in mock example
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Component: packager-guide
Severity: low
Priority: unspecified
Assignee: pkovar(a)redhat.com
Reporter: axilleas(a)archlinux.gr
QA Contact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
CC: fnadge(a)redhat.com
Category: ---
Description of problem:
In section 2.4.3. Testing a Package with Mock, the last example uses the
epel-6-x86_64 config whereas Fedora 18 is referenced above.
According to the preamble, the example should read:
mock -r fedora-18-x86_64 ~/rpmbuild/SRPMS/eject-2.1.5-0.1.fc18.src.rpm

[Bug 1487659] New: Bugzilla: Missing permissions for bug reporting/
maintenance
by bugzilla@redhat.com
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1487659
Bug ID: 1487659
Summary: Bugzilla: Missing permissions for bug
reporting/maintenance
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Component: release-notes
Severity: low
Assignee: relnotes(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: woiling(a)gmx.de
QA Contact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
CC: relnotes(a)fedoraproject.org, wb8rcr(a)arrl.net,
zach(a)oglesby.co
Description of problem:
I now and then miss necessary permissions for bug reports or updates. For
example I'm not allowed to change the version field or add keywords.
In addition I was unable to find any documentation about the default
permissions of users, of Fedoras Bugzilla nor on how to proceed with issues
like this. (See Bug #1487287 for my first attempt to get support with this)
How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to RH bugzilla as me ^^ (Maybe just create a new user and login)
2a. Try to add "CommonBugs" to the keywords of Bug #1441920
2b. Try to change version field of Bug #1259549 to 26
3. Notice the missing permissions to do so.
Actual results:
There is no way to change certain fields of bug reports for me (and assumable
for default users)
Expected results:
At least the keyword field can be edited as suggested here:

[Bug 1487885] New:
rescue mode from hard drive or moving kernel before needed
by bugzilla@redhat.com
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1487885
Bug ID: 1487885
Summary: rescue mode from hard drive or moving kernel before
needed
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Component: docs-requests
Severity: medium
Assignee: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
Reporter: Nick_Levinson(a)yahoo.com
QA Contact: docs-qa(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
CC: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org, sparks(a)redhat.com,
stickster(a)gmail.com, zach(a)oglesby.co
Document URLs:
<https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/26/html/Installation_Guide/se...>
and
<https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/Fedora/26/html/System_Administrators...>,
both as accessed Aug. 12, 2017.
Describe the issue: Booting into rescue mode is described as being done from
media other than the hard drive. However, Fedora 26 installs the rescue kernel
onto the hard drive and doesn't mention during installation that the user
should move it to other media before a rescue is needed. So, either the rescue
kernel is usable from the hard drive (and I used it once for a test, with no
visible difference in outcome) or we should move it.
Suggestions for improvement: Either way, the documentation should be clarified
or updated for whichever possibility is applicable. If we should move the
kernel, please tell us what we should move and how to organize relevant files
on the alternative media.
