Subject: [Developer-portal] Re: New Fedora Developer Portal release
Hello!
Hi.
I agree that keeping it separate is better.
However there should be more links from docs site to developer-portal where
appropriate. For some languages and tools there is no mention at all, for
example last time I tried Scala and some tooling weren't that obvious to me
(I wish I had documented it). Anyway what I like to say is that it needs
more exposure so that people who know different languages would contribute.
Yes, you're right :). Is that something you'd be interested in helping with?
There's only a very limited amount of cycles I can spend on Developer Portal.
I would suggest writing an article on Fedora magazine that more
contributors
are welcome and maybe list some of the big languages that need entries. It
Not sure if this is a good candidate for Magazine (do Developers read it?), but I think
it's a good idea to send the requests it to various ML - devel and SIGs.
can be a bit hard to balance keeping the information unopinionated
and
general enough to be useful.
That's when the Pull Request Reviews come into picture. I'd advise everyone
interested in Developer Portal content to simply watch the content repo :).
kind regards
Gleb
