Hello guys, I want to share with you a procedure, how to set up
devassistant
on OS X 10.9.2 (Python 2.7.3) :
- Download & run as superuser:
https://raw.github.com/pypa/pip/master/contrib/get-pip.py
(wget
https://raw.github.com/pypa/pip/master/contrib/get-pip.py && sudo
python ./get-pip.py)
- sudo pip install progress
- sudo pip install jinja2
- clone a git repo.
- python ./da.py crt python lib -n demo fails with “ERROR: sed: 1:
‘README.rst’: invalid command code R.”
-R switch is not available on OS X’s sed (!) Needs to be resolved but
everything else seems to be ok.
I hope it’s complete and I want to thank Miro Hroncok for his contribution.

Hi Peter,
nice :) I guess OS X support could use some love - perhaps homebrew integration, etc.
However, support in current assistant set is sort of "irrelevant" for next
version, as we'll be dropping the default assistant set and leveraging central
assistant index [1] - so everyone will be able to create assistants for their distro - or
contact upstream of already existing assistants and ask them to add support there (e.g.
add a condition for OS X).
Thanks for doing this, it's good to hear that DA should generally run fine on OS X :)
