<Sparks> mizmo: Any chance I can get you to help me modify that image to
make some stickers for Fedora peoples?
<Sparks> And by help... well, you've seen my art skillz.
<mizmo> Sparks, what are the specs for the stickers?
<Sparks> They must be sticky on the backside.
<mizmo> lol no i mean
<mizmo> do you want sheets? singles? how large?
<mizmo> what do you want them to say?
<mizmo> etc etc
<mizmo> context!
<Sparks> :)
<Sparks> Well... I read something on memo about RH having an account with
some sticker people who will make individual stickers in a variety of
sizes.
<mizmo> variety of sizes = more work for mo :(
<mizmo> do you remember the subj of the thread?
<threebean> (barely related -- can we make a boat load of badge stickers
for flock?)
<Sparks> I was hoping to do something to show appreciate for the people
who have helped update Fedora/EPEL repos with CVE patches.
<Sparks> no, I just want one size of sticker.
* Sparks looks for the email
<mizmo> threebean, ive speced it out before although i think the
requirements were to have sticker sheets customized to what ppl had
actually earned - and there wasn't really any one vendor who could do it,
certainly not cost effectively
<mizmo> threebean, now if we did a sheet with a static set of badge
designs per sticker - that would be easily doable
<mizmo> tho we'd need budget
<Sparks> mizmo: My email program might have already eatten it since it was
more than a couple of weeks ago.
<mizmo> when ive done sticker sheets in the past... was a minimum of 500
sheets, was a few hundred buckazoids
<mizmo> Sparks, i usually use stickergiant
<Sparks> That's fine. I'm not tied to any particular vendor.
<Sparks> It was just what spurred the idea
<mizmo> Sparks, so what ones do you want?
http://www.stickergiant.com/shape
* Sparks gets his ruler out
<mizmo> note that custom shapes are more $
<Sparks> mizmo: It's bressers' money...
<mizmo> oh, CUSTOM IT IS THEN!
<Sparks> Umm, so maybe a 3" circle?
* mizmo dons some $$$ necklaces
<mizmo> actually :) we could do custom shape and make it the badge bubble
shape
<Sparks> mizmo: that has been appropriately relayed. Fortunately he'll
never find us here.
<mizmo> how many stickers do ya want
<Sparks> Well... I'm guessing 500 would be a good start. We could live
off of that for a while.
<mizmo> 250 for $157.70 is the lowest you can order
<mizmo> 500 if $208.00
<mizmo> s/if/is
<Sparks> That's not bad.
<Sparks> The interesting part is desimination, really.
<Sparks> The price for 250 circle is $154.67 so not a big difference.
<mizmo> yeh, totally worth it!
<mizmo> note shipping is on top
<Sparks> <bressers> I suggest you wear a clock neclace.
<mizmo> lol
<Sparks> My original thought was just to recreate the badge image but now
I'm thinking that some wording would be good.
<mizmo> threebean, just sent a badge sticker sheet proposal to flock-
planning
<mizmo> Sparks, we could do some words around the outer edge, any idea
what it could say
<Sparks> "I helped make Fedora more secure." or "Securing Fedora one
CVE
at a time." or similar.
<mizmo> kk
<mizmo> lemme open a ticket for this on the design team thing
<mizmo> do you have a timeline?
<Sparks> Honestly I'm thinking the badge design should have been something
like whack-a-mole (TM).
<Sparks> mizmo: No timeline.
<mizmo> is anybody going to be at flock that should get one? we could
shoot for having them produced for that
<Sparks> mizmo: Well, I was hoping to have something to give folks at the
end of June but that's loose.
<Sparks> I'm sure Flock would be a good place to give some away.
<Sparks> Basically, if you're on the recipient list you get one.
