The hotdog guy in the generic logos package is awesome. I humbly request
a taco and/or breakfast burrito version of this.
(Mo asked me to fill this out.)

#71: FUDCon ad for FSOSS program
-------------------------+--------------------------------------------------

FSOSS is an open source conference that will be held at Seneca College
slightly one month prior to when Seneca hosts FUDCon. They have ad space
for us, and we should use it.
From Chris Tyler:
> I've reserved space in the FSOSS program for a half-page ad for FUDCon.
> If you're interested in this, and assuming that the event won't be fully
> booked by FSOSS (Oct 30), could you have someone create a B&W ad that
> will fit in a 8" (wide) x 5" (high) space and mail the file to me?

I'm working on a new way of doing installation / loading live CD's based
on BKO. boot.fedoraproject.org (not yet live) will provide simple ways to
download one install image and have access to all current and future
media. To see it download and try to boot from:
http://publictest8.fedoraproject.org/boot/gpxe.iso
It's tiny. I'd like to have something up and running a month prior to the
alpha which is currently scheduled for early march so the first week in
February would be great. What I'm looking for is just a simple Fedora
branded background.

#106: FUDCon Toronto Building Maps
-------------------------+--------------------------------------------------
Reporter: ctyler | Owner: duffy
Type: task | Status: new
Priority: major | Component: Artwork
Severity: Quick & Easy | Keywords:

It would be great to have building maps for the FUDCon Toronto event.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a useful map of either of the
Seneca@York buildings online. I took photos of the emergency exit maps and
blueprints, scaled them in the gimp, and made some notations about which
rooms the FUDCon events will be held in -- I'm hoping that someone skilled
with Inkscape will be able to take them and make something beautiful.
Here are the bad-rough-sketches-on-top-of-bad-photos:
http://people.fedoraproject.org/~ctyler/fudcon-toronto-map-sketches.tar.gz
Some notes:
- Needed: a letter-sized image containing a pair of maps that can be
photocopied in B&W. One map will show the ground floor of the SEQ and TEL
buildings (see "SEQ-and-TEL-building-sketch-first-floor.xcf") with the
rooms marked; the other one will show the second floor of the SEQ building
(see "SEQ-building-sketch-second-floor.xcf"). We'll put some useful info
on the reverse side of the page: schedule, IRC channels, and so forth.
- The file "SEQ-and-TEL-building-sketch-first-floor.xcf" shows the
relative size and position of the two buildings and has accurate shape and
scale (yes, the SEQ building is G-shaped), but the internal layout of the
rooms in the SEQ building is not accurate -- see "SEQ-building-not-to-
scale-reference.jpg" for the actual layout of the first floor.
- The final maps should probably show the building in general layout only,
i.e., most of the detail should be stripped out, and perhaps only the
major hallways and the rooms of interest should be shown.
- The room numbers are irrelevant, I'll ensure that we have good signage
showing the room letters as given on the sketches.
- In the TEL building, rooms J-M are inside an enclosed office area, which
I've outlined in black. Doors are shown in red, but I don't know if they
(all) need to appear on the map (?).
- I'll need these files for photocopying by Thursday afternoon (Dec 3) if
possible.
Thanks for considering this project.

#87: podcast feed for fedora insight
--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------
Reporter: mchua | Owner: duffy
Type: task | Status: new
Priority: major | Component: HTML/CSS Work
Severity: Moderately Involved | Keywords: insight

from mizmo: we can output one feed for everything in Insight, but AFAIK we
cannot to an RSS feed per category, which blocks having an actual podcast
feed.

#85: need 'read more' link for bottom of article previews on front page of
insight
--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------
Reporter: mchua | Owner: duffy
Type: task | Status: new
Priority: blocker | Component: HTML/CSS Work
Severity: Moderately Involved | Keywords: insight
--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------
from mizmo: it's confusing that there isn't a 'read more' link on the
bottom of fedora insight articles on the front page. you can click the
article title to read the full story but it's not clear without a 'read
more' message/link that there is more to see by doing that.
This is a blocker for FI going live.
