Hello there,
Thanks for the input. I am not a ruby person - yet :) So can I
ask you
what OS/version is best for deltacloud.
I tried yum install as suggested but I think I need to ad additional
repositories ?? I use CentOS 5.4.
As you've dsicovered, only the latest and greatest will do ;) Most of
the developers are on Fedora 13.
For the missing rubygem-* packages, you could try your luck rebuilding
them on CentOS - though I believe a few of them are already in EPEL; you
should enable EPEL on your machine. I know for sure that rubygem-thin is
not, though I don't recall what the problem building it was.
I can't guarantee though that with all that you'll be able to run
Deltacloud - it will work for sure on Fedora 13.
What i really want to do in the short term is to get familiar with
the
deltacloud APIs. I don't mind writing up some code (python which I
speak :) to
make some WebSvc APIs. But if aggregator will help, I'll try that as
well.
There's a python client out there at
http://github.com/skarmark/deltacloud-client - I believe it needs a bit
of love. It would be great if it could be improved to the point where it
works with the current API.
