Thank you and I am really sorry for that piece of crap.
I missed the second part of the condition
if ((status != 0 && state->dup_of_dir) || count == 0)
^^^^^^^^
which causes the deadlock you hit. I didn't catch it during testing becuase
I didn't test the patch with a completely new problem.

Perhaps it is because i didn't apply the patch to gnome-abrt, but
this
patch produces some kind of deadlock on my system:) To reproduce:
- run gnome-abrt
WARNING:root:Can't get list of problems from DBus service: Did not
receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not
send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the
reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
(abrt-dbus continues to run)
- will_crash
crashes normally and creates a dump dir
- will_crash
hangs - strace of abrt-hook-ccpp keeps repeating:
readlink("/var/spool/abrt/ccpp-2013-04-12-19:29:01-32234/.lock",
"31990",
15) = 5 access("/proc/31990", F_OK) = 0

symlink("32459",
"/var/spool/abrt/ccpp-2013-04-12-19:29:01-32234/.lock") =

I can show it to you/investigate further on Monday.
