Hello Big Data SIG people!
This is my first post to the list. I would actively contribute (with
my humble experience) in this exciting initiative.
I work professionally in the world of open source and bigdata and have
worked on some initiatives that may be of interest. Especially
interesting may be my tool Buildoop [1] and a hue reference table of
Hadoop and BigData techologies [2].
The Buildoop tool is similar to Apache Bigtop tool, however is
designed with other focus. I'll probably still keeping this tool and I
'm going to focus my efforts on helping this group if its interesting
to you.
Still not really know where to help, but I start to read the list and
the information available in the wiki to get started.
I hope my work can be useful for you from now on .
Best regards.

Hello,
One new based-on-Hadoop package that will be available in Fedora 21 is
Apache Accumulo. I'm sure there's other BigData projects that would love
your help, but I know Accumulo could definitely use some more testing in
Fedora, and there's a few open bugs that could be addressed to make it
better, if you want to take a stab at those and you are interested.
However you decide to help out, welcome!
