Upstream is preferred, but if you're actually taking the screenshot
you can put it anywhere (including in
fedora-appstream/screenshots-extra/) -- thanks!

https://lists.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/appstream Yeah, this is the way i
usually do it, just a few things to note:
1. the folder name in the screenshots-extra folder is important -- make
it the same as the title of the app here (without .desktop)
http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/screenshots/f21/status.html
2. Hard link to the screenshot in github. Be sure to point at the image
in the master branch. Even though you may be checking it into the
developmentapps branch, point it to where it will be when it gets
merged. an example of this in master is:
https://github.com/hughsie/fedora-appstream/blob/master/appdata-extra/des...
3. Screenshots should be certain dimenstions. as outlined here:
http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/appdata/#screenshots
i also use this gnome extentstion to help me get the right aspect ratios
for screenshots:
http://blogs.gnome.org/hughsie/2013/10/08/how-to-take-169-screenshots/
