As long as you don't want to pass extra parameters to signal callbacks,
you should be able to specify them in glade. If you do want to pass
extra parameters, well, last time I tried this didn't work. It may have
changed since then.
It somehow "works". Problem is that it passes the
user_data object
instead of the widget (so as the first argument of the callback).
