I'm sorry you had to wait so long.
There are two pieces to this:
First, Aeolus relies on Deltacloud[1] for connecting to the cloud
providers. And unfortunately, it seems that the Deltacloud version now
packaged in Fedora (I have
deltacloud-core-0.5.0-0.2.1317167702git.fc15.noarch) is broken for
Eucalyptus.
When you have everything up and running, this should work:
$ curl -v --header "Accept: application/json" \
--header "X-Deltacloud-Driver: eucalyptus" \
http://localhost:3002/api
It should return HTTP 200 OK response and a blob of JSON data. I'm
getting HTTP 500 on my machine.
I've tried this from the latest Deltacloud source code and it's working
there.
So once the new Deltacloud version is packaged to Fedora, this should be
okay.
Second, as you've noted, the Aeolus UI currently doesn't provide a way
of selecting Eucalyptus. We've been recently doing some changes to the
way we connect to the providers and modified the UI a bit as well. This
is an unfortunate side effect of those changes.
