Hi-
Newbie to 389 DS, but I like it so far, and it's working well for us.
Great to hear that! We are always here to help if you have questions,
The docs reference tools like dsidm, dsconf, dsctl, but I cant'
seem
to find them. I'm wondering if I missed installing a package or missed
a pathname. Any guidance?
We've changed from perl -> python between version 1.3.x and 1.4.x. If you are
running RHEL7/Centos7/SLE-15/SUSE-leap-15 you will have the 1.3.x version with perl
tools.
As of RHEL8/Centos8/Fedora/SUSE-tumbleweed/suse:network:ldap and "future
sle/leap" you will have the lib389 python tools like dsidm, dsconf, dsctl.
So if you can send us the version of the 389-ds[-base] package you have, that would
identify which tools you have, and why you might not be seeing them,
Hope that helps!
Thanks-
jcm
