What is the default password encryption routine for FDS?
SSHA
Also, is it possible to change it?
Yes. See
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/dir-server/ag/7.1/password.html#1077081
In addition to the ones in the doc, Fedora DS 1.0.4 supports SSHA256,
384, and 512, and MD5.
