Please keep the lines to 79 characters.

Grammar revision from a native speaker:

"Cannot read config file %s. Please check if permissions are 0600 and
the file is owned by root.root."

(Basically the same except for the sentence break.


Mind making the format string a static string that you use in both
places? I don't like seeing it duplicated.
