There may be more chance of a change with SLES 12 although it is likely based on opensuse and as you say that has not gotten there yet.

Hi Greg
This is something I've struggled and more with recently. I appreciate
that for stability and reliability purposes ten the enterprise versions
need to be stable. BUT what you are reporting amounts to a serious bug.
We need to pus for the latest versions of sssd. As it stands, unless you
use Fedora or can wait for the intrepid few who maintain an Ubuntu ppa
for the latest sssd, you're stuck.

So yes, we need stability, but we also need to move forward. Your
observation about Red Hut Pizza Linux is pertinent indeed. Alas, we are
openSUSE only so have little or no influence on pizza delivery.

OK, so the sssd devs do a wonderful job, answer questions and make it
just work. Development is fast and furious but there seems no mechanism
in any distro to cope with the regular stable updates. Sorry to the sssd
devs for leaving this here, but I really do think that the distros are
leaving us in the dark ages. . .
Cheers,
Steve
