Much to my delight, in the last few months we have seen a significant
uptick in community contributions to the OpenLMI project. I've seen
efforts from storage vendors working on NFS and NAS components as well
as packagers from non-Red Hat Linux distributions preparing releases
of OpenLMI.

With all of these new contributors, I think it is getting to a point
where it would be useful to start having public planning and status
meetings where we could collect all of the ideas and plans of our
various contributors in more high-bandwidth discussion than the
mailing list. To this end, I think we should plan to have a one-hour
meeting each week (possibly bi-weekly or monthly; please chime in) on
OpenLMI's public IRC channel (#openlmi on irc.freenode.net).

I have started a WhenIsGood request to locate a potential time that we
could organize this. I'll select a time based on the largest available
concentration of diverse attendees. I'll solicit input through next
week and we'll plan for having the first meeting during the week of
Oct. 21.

Thank you for your participation thus far. Let's continue to make
OpenLMI a success!
