How would I go about putting those sizable pieces of data out onto said SAN space? Is it as as simple as moving a couple of directories and symlinking, or is it something more profound?

When symlinking the whole /var/lib/pulp, there was problem that the symlinks that are in /var/lib/pulp/repos were not evaluated correctly.

Note, as I discovered today:
If you sync the ISOs, make sure you symlink /var/lib/pulp/files as well, since those ISOs will gobble up free space too. *grin*
