Comment:

 This is an interesting idea! The only reasons I can think of *not* to do
 this:

  * if we want to use a footer and make sure users can see it
  * it would be harder for someone to make and share a link to a specific
 paginated subset of the archives, e.g., the first 20 posts from a
 particular month

 But overall I like this idea and I think the negatives aren't very strong.
 I'm marking this as an idea for the next milestone. Thanks!
