Yeah, ack for now as I was going to do that myself, because there really
seems to be no better way to get the mapping. However, this should (and
let's hope it will) be handled by a separate package/module maintained
by the i18n team. Martin Sivak has started some discussions about that.
GeoIP will be helpful here, but only in some cases.
