One more difference is maybe between dismissing. From
Katello's screenshot it looks that you dismiss the
notification by deleting it. I would suggest to dismiss item
by seeing it and still keep it in the system on notification

Not sure what you mean by "deleting" - alerts have to be
explicitly dismissed by the user, while notices disappear
automatically. In either case the notification stays in the db.<br>

there is only "Delete All" button, so I was just assuming. Havn't
noticed any "Dismiss" button and at the top page header I can
still see number 6 (I guess number of new notifications).<br>

Ahh, that's more of a list of past notifications. The most current
one appears at the top of the screen (see attached).<br>
