Hi folks,
I've made some progress tracking down the issues with kernel 4.18 booting
on i686, which is causing all of the i686 images to fail QA.
The quick summary is something introduced in kernel 4.18 (after
rc0.git2.1) is causing systemd to coredump, dropping the user to a dracut
prompt. I was able to reproduce this on a Fedora 28 install with the
default systemd in the repos.
I've filed the following BZ:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1607901
Hi folks,
Quick update: I found the problem and put together a patch (see BZ). I'll
work on submitting the fix to upstream next week.
