Hi guys,
I didnt want to reply on the "Ready to push" thread, so i started a new one :) Im currently in training in Germany, and here i have a really nifty Windows 2k3 with IE6.
Everything looks clean but the "Join Page" If you mouseover "Content Developer (writer)" icon, the bottom two will start sliding to the right.
screenshots attached.
Thanks, Paulo

What do you guys think? Is this a blocker or can we fix it after the launch? I'm only itchy because, well, the wiki still crashes from time to time and it'd be nice to lighten the load.

We might solve this by changing it to read "Content Writer"; I reckon it is the extra line of text causing it to be difficult to align. Also, there is some risk of confusion around Content Developer. People looking to help with documentation are more likely drawn to something that has the word "Writer" in it.

I just removed the font-weight change on hover (as somebody mentioned, the background color change should be enough). I've also removed the Content-type meta tag, as the server should send those headers and will override the meta tags anyway (AddDefaultCharset UTF-8). Also, everything should say FC6 now.
Now that the HTML should be pretty stable, should we use SSI to make site-wide changes easier (or should we just wait for the move to Plone)?

Wait for plone++
Unless it would take <15 minutes, otherwise it's probably easier to maintain a small subset of pages manually and invest our time in grokking Plone CSS. :)

Changing the font weight when mouse over is always a bad practice resulting in such a problems. Just the background change is enought.

How does it look now?
I changed everywhere to read "Content Writer", although the Wiki page still has two Anchor()s to preserve the old URI.

Karsten, for me it still shows the old page... :/ Can you confirm in your browser that it changed ?
Thanks, Paulo

That's fine with me. We don't want any more main page goes down with wiki. :)

OK, now I have a clue what is going on. :)
Questions then:
* Can we branch the CVS content into the FC-6 and F7 version? * Can we then use the FC-6 version to push changes to the front page? There are some changes I have in /cvs/web/static I want to see on the live page. * Can we start hacking on the F7 version in CVS and have that posted at /_/?
thx - Karsten

I think we should. Now that we only have 1 week left before F7 launch. We could have something like: * staitc/f6 * static/f7 * static/f8 and so on. :) regards,

I'll setup /_/ as soon as there's some content to push out :) The sooner we can get the F7 stuff the better, I'd like to send it out to the mirrors.

Maybe too late now, but it would be nice to have those images on the frontside clickable to show some more details.

Not too late. I know we had some low bandwidth requirements but it'd be nice to get the screen shot in there. If nothing better I can remove the larger images just for release day.
